I spent a whole day touring NYC in torrential rain, and my shoes and socks never got wet. The only issue was I wore them with rain pants, and together they made me super hot whenever we were indoors. I would hike the rain pants up and lower the rain boots to give my legs a chance to breathe. They fit over my chunky ankle length boots which was good. The snap on the back strap kept coming off so I just took that strap off. Not sure what it is even for. You want a tight fit over your shoe, so work a little to get it in there if it seems too small at first. Gotta give 5 stars for doing it’s main job - 8 hours in the rain, perfectly dry feet.

I happened to stumble upon these on Amazon and thought I'd try them. I wear 40 below camp booties inside my tent when I'm camping. (Adventure motorcycle camping) and they're not made for outside of the tent but I always find myself wearing them outside anyway (going to the bathroom sitting around the fire whatever) I saw these and thought this would be so perfect to slip these over the booties when I went outside the tent or around the campfire. But I needed them to be light for packing They work perfectly. They're not bomber construction it's kind of like a heavy plastic. But if you're careful I think they will last and do the intended job.. They also work just putting a pair of flip-flops inside of them if you need to walk outside or in the wet grass or in the woods to protect your feet a little bit more.
It's a simple construction a simple idea but it's very effective in my opinion.
